All Clear

As I was preparing to write this week’s blog, I asked the Lord for a title, and I heard “all clear”. Immediately, I thought of the words for this year being the year of clarity, consistency, confidence, and conquering. What do you think of when you hear “all clear”? The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines the phrase as “a signal that a danger has passed”.

Wow!

How many times have you found yourself in a dangerous situation because you didn’t have the “all clear” from God? Just think, what if the pilot didn’t wait for the “all clear” signal from the air traffic controller? A crash or near crash could be eminent. Thankfully, as a believer, our air traffic controller resides on the inside of us. Unfortunately, sometimes we don’t always heed the instruction.

The Holy Spirit is our air traffic controller. He notifies us of impending danger. He helps us remember what we’ve studied so that we can ace the exam. He tells us who we should trust and who we shouldn’t. He even tells us if we should marry that person that we believe is the right one. Ultimately, He leads and guides us into all truth, even down to the simple things of what to wear or what to buy at the grocery store. The key, though, is seeking Him first. Although it’s important to seek godly counsel, we must not forget the Counselor resides on the inside of us. I challenge you this week, before making a move, to ensure you hear “all clear”.
