You're Immune to This

I was doing devotions in the equivalent of my prayer closet and the Lord was kind of just talking to me, as he does when we seek Him. It was here that He impressed on me that in the midst of dealing with the stress and concerns both emotional and physical, especially during this pandemic, it is very easy to throw up our hands and want to give up. Thinking, I’m a child of the King and look what I’m going through. Truth is many of us have been in the season of being attacked way before COVID-19 and feeling the pressures all around us. Not just because of COVID-19 but the stress of disappointments, disrespectful comments and or hurtful remarks to you, about you or worse yet, those you love and the truth is now it seems even more compounded.

It was then that the Holy Spirit just said to me, you know, there’s this big thing about vaccines now. A vaccine takes just a small amount of the disease in a weakened state and introduces just enough for the body to build up an immunity to it and be able to fight the disease. Spiritually, many of the “darts” (our hurts, disappointments, trials and even devastations) like a vaccine have just enough of the attributes that are meant to destroy us to cause our spiritual body to build up antibodies to fight the fiery darts of the enemy. It is because of those spiritual battles that God has allowed us to develop spiritual antibodies so that when the enemy points his arrows and seeks to destroy us, that we are able with His grace to withstand & conquer.

Always remember, God knows where He is taking you and if He were to wait to develop your antibodies at the time of release into the manifestations of your destiny it could and probably would derail the timing of your release. Therefore it is important that you build up an immunity to the ways of the enemy before your new season.So be diligent in your prayer and seeking His face because sometimes it’s God administering a vaccine in our lives. It may be painful and uncomfortable now but trust His heart, that He wouldn’t allow you to be broken, defeated and left destitute. In the next season your antibodies will be fully developed and able to fight off the poisonous darts of the enemy sent your way. As we pray for each other during this alarming time, remember to lift up and cover our destinies and our future. Stay blessed, lift your head, God’s got this and God’s got you!
